PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate formaldehyde, a volatile organic compound, and house dust in the air in a room. SOLUTION: The hot air heater is provided with a burner 16 for combustion by vaporizing a fuel, a combustion cylinder 17 that covers the burner 16 and has a combustion gas leading port 17a at an upper portion, a duct 19 that covers the combustion cylinder 17 and forms a hot air path for leading indoor air to an outlet 20, and a blower 18 that is provided on the rear surface of a body 11 and is composed by a propeller fan for sucking the indoor air. Then, a plurality of fin-shaped metal bodies 21 that are composed by a material containing such transition element as chrome, molybdenum or the like are provided on the peripheral surface of the combustion cylinder 17 that becomes the suction side of the turning flow of air being blown from the blower 18, at the same time an opening 22 is provided on the surface of the combustion cylinder 17 near the fin 21, and the fin 21 is heated to a temperature of at least 400 deg.C by radiation heat from the opening 22. |
