<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and method capable of securing the number of times of position detection without generating any temporal deviation of display. SOLUTION: This display device is provided with a position detection processing part 12 which detects the position of a pen, a detection point interpolation processing part 13 which interpolates a part between detection points detected by the position detection processing part 12, a thinning-out processing part 14 which thins out only the arbitrary number of pixel data to be displayed at the interpolated part between the detection points, a fixed number display processing part 15 which displays only the predetermined arbitrary number of pixels by thinning-out only the arbitrary number of pixels, and displays even the thinned-out pixel data when the number of displayed pixels does not reach the arbitrary number of pixels, and a full display processing part 16 which displays pixel data which can no be displayed by the thinning-out processing by the thinning-out processing part 14 and the fixed number display processing part 15 after the end of the pen input.</p> |
