<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent adhesion of foreign matter to a front face of a casing body by providing a beam-permeable foreign matter shielding body turnable by wind and the like in front of the casing body housing a device main body including a radar head. SOLUTION: An on-vehicle radar device used for a vehicle collision prevention system and the like is provided with an air-tight structure casing body 1 arranged in the back of a front grill G or the like for housing a radar main body and a plurality of strip type thin pieces 2a. The thin pieces 2a are hung at the tip of a cantilever beam 2b in a holding tool protruded forward on the side face of the casing body 1, for example, and constructed of a material such as tetrafluoroethylene hardly causing attenuation of radio waves transmitted/received by an antenna in the main body part. The thin pieces 2a are longitudinally oscillated by the wind blown inward during travel and shakes off snow and mud blown in through the front grill G by centrifugal force. In this way, no snow or mud sticks to the front end face of the casing body 1, so that a transmitting/receiving characteristic of the antenna can be secured.</p> |
