<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce man-hours in operation management and to effectively use the band of an ATM line by installing a communication band regulation means regulating communication while the communication state of individual PVC communication connection is preserved and eliminating the need of setting and resetting the communication parameter of complicated individual PVC. SOLUTION: When terminals A2 and B5 are connected between ATM exchanges C3 and D4, a network controller (NMS) 1 transmits control commands to the ATM exchanges C3 and D4. The NMS 1 sets a communication band on communication between the terminals A2 and B5 connected to the ATM exchanges C3 and D34 to be '0' and regulates communication between the terminals A2 and B5. The NMS 1 loads the state parameter of individual PVC communication connection, which is preserved, on a restoration command, transmits it to the ATM exchanges C3 and D4 and releases communication regulation. Thus, the communication band can easily be restored on respective exchange sides and the band can be allocated to other PVC communication while regulation is executed.</p> |
