<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To register and delete new data economically and speedily in a retrieval device which retrieves data whose attributes are matched with retrieval key data at a maximum (to the longest length) from data different in the attributes of retrieval objects for every stored data. SOLUTION: In addition to intrinsic attributes fixed for every data, attributes belonging to the data are searched for in advance and made to revert to the stored data as extension attributes. Further, the device is equipped with a queue buffer 28 which holds data to be newly registered or deleted. For retrieval, the stored data having the value closest to retrieval key data is detected and the maximum matching attribute is detected among the extension attributes of the detected stored data, the attributes of the data in the queue buffer 28 are detected, and the most matching attribute are selected according to both the attributes. Then new data are registered or data are deleted while retrieval is not performed.</p> |
