PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct misconvergence (TLV) due to left-right asymmetry even when correcting convergence VCR and vertical pin distortion without using an I-type core and a coil being wound on this core. SOLUTION: A first and a second C-type cores are placed to face in opposite directions on a vertical axis at the rear end of a deflection yoke. Coils L1, L2 are wound on the first C-type core, coils L3, L4 are wound on the second C-type core. The coils L1, L3 are connected together in series so as to form a first coil circuit 4, and the coils L2, L4 are connected together in series so as to form a second coil circuit 5. The first coil circuit 4 is connected in series to a vertical deflection coils Lv, Lv, while the first and the second coil circuits 4, 5 are connected together in series. To the first and the second coil circuits 4, 5, a variable resistance VR1 is connected in parallel and its moving contact S1 is connected to a connection point P1 between the first and the second coil circuits 4, 5.
