PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a manufacturing method of optical fiber array which can be decreased in manufacture man-hour. SOLUTION: The manufacture of the optical fiber array 1 clamped between a V-groove substrate 12 and a pressure plate while exposed parts 4a of optical fibers 4 are arranged in multiple V grooves 12a formed side by side on the V-groove substrate 12 has a stage for bundling the exposed parts 4a in array by two bundling members 10 at two places at an interval longer than the V grooves 12a, a stage for arranging the exposed parts 4a on the V grooves 12a, a stage for installing the pressure plate while leaving a specific gap with the exposed parts 4a, a stage for detaching the bundling member on the side of the coating parts 4b of the optical fibers, a stage for sliding the optical fibers 4 until the coating parts 4b are arranged on a step part 12b, a stage for clamping the exposed parts 4a by pressing the pressure plate, and a stage for fixing the pressure plate and V-groove substrate 12.
