The invention relates to a circuit breaker (1) that is designed for multipolar release, if attached to further circuit breakers, by a catch element (2). According to the invention, the catch element (2) is configured, in terms of its function, as a double eccentric. One (3) of said eccentrics is impinged upon by a latch (5) when said latch falls of a trip lever (6) due to an unlatching by a work stroke of the latch. The other eccentric (4) moves and unlatches the trip lever (6) due to its work stroke. The trip lever (6) is stationarily mounted (8) and the latch (5) is movably mounted by accommodating in its movable latch seat (9) a coupling rod (10) that is coupled to a manual command organ (11).
