This invention is a lipstick tube (10) for one hand operation in which a sanitary case is opened at its top end, a lipstick (12) extended for use, then retracted, and the case closed. The tube (10) operating components include a support frame (16) for receiving, and guiding a lipstick carrier (14); a lipstick (12), closure cap (22) for opening, and closing the open top (18) of the assembled lipstick tube (10); a drive mechanism for engaging, and axially moving the lipstick carrier (14); and for opening, for closing the closure cap (22), an upper (24), and lower (26) exterior case members.
