PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress change in antenna characteristics caused by the machine type of electronic equipment such as notebook personal computer(PC) to be connected by making the electric length of an antenna element into half wavelength and arranging that antenna element vertically to the installation plane of the electronic equipment to connect an antenna device. SOLUTION: The electric length of an antenna element 104 is made half wavelength. The current distribution of the antenna element 104 is made minimum at both terminal parts of the antenna element 104 and made maximum at the central part. Therefore, the current distribution on the lower end side of the antenna element 104, namely, at the terminal on the side of a radio part casing 102 is made minimum. Thus, an antenna current to flow to the radio part casing 102 is minimized as well. Besides, the antenna element 104 is arranged vertically to the install plane of the PC to be mounted. Thus, the antenna element 104 is operated similarly to a vertical monopole on a base plate so that horizontal plane non-directivity can be provided by vertical polarization.
