SOLUTION: When a capture button 112 s clicked, static images 121A, 121B, 121C,... of an image which is reproduced from a VTR are fetched and stored, and times codes 123A, 123B, 123C,... at this time are stored so as to correspond to the static images. as a result, when the capture button 112 is clicked in a scene to be used as a key in an editing operation, the static images of the scene to be used as the key and a list screen 102 having the time codes at this time can be created. By referring to the list screen 102, the editing operation can be performed efficiently. When the static images are captured, a simultaneous-voice recording mode is set by voice recording-mode changeover keys 113A, 113B, a voice at this time can be recorded simultaneously. In addition, by voice recording keys 126a, 126B, 126B, the voice regarding the static images can be recorded later on.
