PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device rapidly fixing a toner image on a recording medium by blowing hot air uniformly to the entire surface of the recording medium. SOLUTION: This fixing device 101 is attached to an image forming device in which the toner image on a toner image carrier is pressured and transferred to the recording medium 207 from a direction orthogonal to the carrying direction of the medium 207 and fixes the toner image transferred to the medium 207 on the medium 207. In such a case, the device 101 is provided with a ventilation means 215 generating the hot air by making the air blow off a heat source 213 which performs heat generating operation, a carrying guide 217 through which the recording medium 207 passes, and a flow straightening and heat exchanging means 102 which is provided to hold the heat source 213 in between from both sides, where plural through-holes through which the air from the means 215 flowing in from either side is made to flow out from the other side and sent to the guide 217 after adjusting its blow-off direction are formed and which changes the air from the means 215 heated by the heat source 213 to the hot air.
