Nucleic acids encoding cd40/cd40l chimeric polypeptides, methods for their production and uses thereof

A nucleic acid encoding a chimeric polypeptide comprising nucleic acid fragments encoding i) a mammalian signal peptide and downstream thereof, ii) the binding and trimerization domain of CD40L and downstream thereof, iii) a spacer of 50 to 100 amino acids and downstream thereof, iv) the transmembrane and signal transduction domains of CD40, is useful as a gene therapy agent for the local treatment of solid tumors.
