Rubber printhead walls may be fabricated in an inkjet printhead comprising a unimorph plate (1) and ceramic baseplate (2) by filling the gap with a wax like material (3), slitting through all three layers with a ganged wire saw and filling the resultant slots (4) with silicone rubber. If the wax like material incorporates a release agent, it is possible to ensure that the walls are attached at the top and bottom of such a structure, so minimising shear cross talk. |
