PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of damages on core teeth, when wire of comparatively high rigidity is wound. SOLUTION: A wire feeding nozzle 9 movable to a rotor unit 1 and a wire guide 17, having a plurality of annular comb teeth type guide segments 18, are installed. The tip part of wire is fixed to the rotor unit 1, the nozzle is moved in the axial line direction, and the wire is inserted in a core slot 3s, while being guided with the guide segments, and stretched outside the core in the axial line direction. The wire is engaged with a jaw part 18a and an engaging part 18b which are formed in a tip part of the guide segment and bent in the peripheral direction. After that, a U-shaped coil end portion is formed by bending the wire toward the other core slot. The wire is wound, while being guided with the wire guide 17, so that edges of core teeth can be prevented from being damaged when the wire is inserted in the core slot 3a or when the coil end is formed.
