PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk which may be greatly improved in the number of repetitive use times by dispersing a mask material into a hardly fusible base material to make the flow difficult. SOLUTION: This optical disk is formed by laminating layers 6 and 10 for recording and reproducing information and a mask layer 4 having a mask effect to enhance a light transmittance with an increase in the intensity of irradiation light. The diameter of the light spot transmitted through this mask layer 4 is made substantially smaller than the diameter of the light spot made incident on the mask layer 4. In such a case, the mask layer 4 is formed by dispersing the mask material 12A fused at the temperature at which the mask effect is generated into the base material 12B. As a result, the number of repetitive use times may be greatly improved. |
