ANTENNA SYSTEM AND RADAR USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar antenna that optimizes an H plane radiation pattern and has a scanning function with high performance with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: An upper layer waveguide 11 and a lower layer waveguide 12 are configured as a 2-layer structure. A main reflecting wall 1 formed a paraboloidal shape, a sub reflecting wall 2 formed by hyperbolicly and a sector horn 3 are provided in the lower layer waveguide 12, one of two foci of the sub reflecting wall 2 matches a focus F0 of the main reflecting wall 1 and the other focus F1 is set to a center of phases of the sector horn 3. The sector horn 3 is placed by directing the radiation direction of the horn 3 toward the sub reflecting wall 2. A long slot array 7 is placed to an upper face of the upper layer waveguide 11 and the upper layer waveguide 11 and the lower layer waveguide 12 are connected to a 3 dB coupling slot 14.
