PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a photographer to recognize each kind of operation in a camera such as a shutter operation with a pseudo voice in a timing related with the shutter operation in an electronic still camera which is not provided with any mechanical shutter mechanism. SOLUTION: In a camera which does not give any mechanically driven shutter sound, a pseudo sound close to an actual shutter sound preliminarily stored in an EEPROM, for example, shutter popping sound, is issued in the timing of a shutter operation. That is, the pseudo sound is preliminarily stored in the EEPROM for each single syllable as a digital signal, and read so as to be outputted as a pseudo voice. |
