PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the display quality of visible images from being degraded due to the entering of dust in a liquid crystal device of a front light system, and to prevent the display quality of visible images from being degraded due to the uneven adhesion between a light transmission body and other members. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal device 21 has a liquid crystal structure 6 including a liquid crystal L held between a pair of substrates 17a, 17b, a light source 2 which emits light, a light transmission body 3 disposed in the observer's side of the liquid crystal structural body 6 to introduce the light from the light source 2 to the liquid crystal structure 6, and a cover 23 disposed in the observer's side of the light transmission body 3. A spacer member 22 is disposed in the peripheral region between the light transmission body 3 and the cover 23 to be tightly adhered to both. Intrusion of dust is prevented by the spacer members 12, 22, and uneven adhesion among the members is prevented. |
