PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an input work of Chinese language in electronic equipment efficient by using twelve numerical keys. SOLUTION: When a key signal is inputted by using the numeral keys 100, a corresponding part 500 of the key signal to utterance code is referred, data in an input buffer 600 is referred after a possible utterance code corresponding to a key signal is taken out, an applicable utterance code or tone code is taken out by the number of key operation or exclusion of impossible combination and stored in a key signal buffer 900 with the inputted key signal and the number of key operation. When input waiting time of a user exceeds 0.5 second from this time, the data in the key signal buffer 900 is stored in the input buffer 600, presence/absence of the tone code in it is inspected, when the tone code exists, a string of the utterance codes in the input buffer 600 is converted into a corresponding single KANJI (Chinese character) or word by using a dictionary 800 in a Chinese character converting part 700 and outputted by a system control part 300 to a display part 200. |
