SOLID-STATE IMAGE SENSING DEVICE, CAMERA PROVIDED WITH THE SAME, AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain shading caused by misalignment of an optical axis in a camera where a solid-state image sensing device is used by improving the solid-state image sensing device or component parts such as lens blocks in assembly accuracy. SOLUTION: A guide pin 9 is inserted into a guide 7 provided in the side edge of a package 2 provided in a solid-state image sensing device 1, a pilot pin 8 is also inserted into a pilot 6 provided in the same side edge, and the pilot 6 is pressed against the pilot pin 8 while being guided by the guide 7 to position the solid-state image sensing device. The edge faces 10a and 10b of the pilot pin 8 are made to bear against the package 2 along the truncated chevron-shaped edges of the pilot 6, so that the solid-state image sensing device can be restrained from being rotated not only by the guide pin 9 but also by the pilot pin 8. A part of the pilot 6 is made to retreat inside the package 2 so as not to enable the apex 11 of the pilot pin 8 to prevent the edge faces 10a and 10b from bearing against the truncated chevron-shaped edges.
