PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To see that the refrigerator retains chill inside when the user opens the door, so as to lessen the energy loss caused by opening the door of a refrigerator. SOLUTION: This refrigerator is so arranged as to retain heavy chill when the user opens the door, by making high walls 1 and 2 at the fringe of the shelf. It is so arranged that the shelves on the odd stages numbered from below come out of the storage when the user opens the door, by attaching the shelves on the odd stages numbered from below to the door side, and that the check or taking in and out of the food is performed from the space above the shelf arising thereby.
