PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a liquid accumulation at the joint of a pipe and breeding of various germs, to be excellent in sanitary property, to be excellent in reliability on seal precision of the joint of the pipe and also excellent in connection workability of a pipe, and further to be excellent in productivity and moreover to effect coupling of even a high temperature high pressure piping without the occurrence of leakage. SOLUTION: This joint comprises a gasket body 3 provided with a gasket body 3 having a hole part 3a; joining surfaces 4a and 4b, and an annular groove 5; a gasket 2 having close contact parts 6a and 6b having respective protrusion parts 7 formed on joining surfaces 4a and 4b through an annular groove 5; an union screw 8 having a screw part 10 formed on an outer peripheral wall surface and a connection surface 11 formed in a plane-form state on the end face on the screw part 10 side; an union flange 12 having a flange part 13b and a connection surface 14 formed in a plane-form manner on the end face of the flange part 13b; and a union nut 15 having a threaded engaging part 18 threadedly engaged with the screw part 10.
