The fuel feed system, especially for diesel motors, has several pump elements (3A,3Z) to put the fuel under pressure to a given pressure level, and deliver the fuel while under pressure. A system (5A,4) maintains the function of at least one pump element according to the fuel vol. which is required by the motor. The function is maintained by a twin-opening connection valve (5A) and a cut-off valve (4).
