摘要 The device has a first double-action piston-cylinder unit (5) with two chambers for connection to a first hydraulic circuit for actuation by an electrical control path for normal operation of the steering and a second, parallel double-action piston-cylinder unit (6) with two chambers for connection to a second hydraulic circuit independent of the first for emergency operation. The second unit consists of two single-action units (34,35) working in opposition and both with a drive connection to the first unit and a displacement device (36,37), e.g. a plunger or piston, that bounds one of the chambers (38,39) of the second unit in an associated cylinder (41,42). An Independent claim is also included for a hydraulically actuated steering system for a motor vehicle.
