CONTROLLER AND PICTURE OUTPUTTING DEVICE AND POWER SOURCE/CLOCK CONTROL METHOD FOR CONTROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a controller in a waiting state. SOLUTION: Memories 33 and 34 in a controller 30 are provided with supply control circuits 37 and 38 for memories which control the supply of a power source PW and a clock signal CLK. When any access to the memories 33 and 34 is not performed in a fixed time or more, the supply control circuits 37 and 38 for the memories interrupt the supply of the power source PW and the clock signal CLK to the memories 33 and 34 while leaving one part. Also, a picture processing circuit 36 in the controller 30 is provided with a supply control circuit 39 for a processing circuit which controls the supply of the power source PW and the clock signal CLK. When any access to the picture processing circuit 36 is not performed in a fixed time or more, this supply control circuit 39 for the processing circuit interrupts the supply of the power source PW and the clock signal CLK to the picture processing circuit 36 while leaving one part.
