PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branch adapter for a faucet to be used in common with faucets of many type and have high flexibility. SOLUTION: This adapter is used for a faucet having connection pipes 7 and 8 extending from a faucet coupling part 5 to a faucet installation spot in a faucet body to a main pipe on the faucet installation spot side. In this case, an adapter body 1 comprises a faucet mounting part 11 to mount a faucet body by coupling a faucet coupling part 5; an adapter coupling part 16 to mount the adapter body 1 on a faucet installation spot; through-holes 18 and 19 through which connection pipes 7 and 8 run throughout a range from the faucet mounting part 11 to the adapter coupling part 16; and an internal passage 24 for branch having an inlet connection part 21 to a branch pipe from the main pipe 7 to the adapter coupling pipe 16 and an outlet connection part 23 to a branch pipe 22 on the downstream side on the external exposed surface of the adapter body 1.
