PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finely carve an intaglio plate part by using a thin discoid cutter in place of a brush developing system as a conventional plate making method, to precisely produce a plate for printing a black matrix and color pixels and to manufacture a low-cost liquid crystal color filter excellent in quality. SOLUTION: A photosensitive layer (printing area) 1-7 is formed on an aluminum substrate 1-8, a silicone resin (non-printing area) 1-6 is formed on the photosensitive layer 1-7 and the photosensitive layer 1-7 is exposed by partially cutting the silicone resin 1-6 to form a striped or latticed printing area. This microcutting system enhances the precision of printed thin lines as compared with the conventional brush developing system.
