PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction of a holding force by preventing decrease of an engaging margin of an engaging hole with an engaging lance when a pulled wire moves a terminal fitting in a terminal storage room within the range of a backlash. SOLUTION: A terminal holding structure stores a terminal fitting 23 by engaging an engaging lance 26 with an engaging hole 38 on a terminal box part 29 of the terminal fitting 23 in a terminal storage room 22 where the flexible engaging lance 26 is extended from one of inside walls 24, 25 opposing each other. A backlash restricting projection 36 which prevents decrease of an engaging margin by presenting a gap to the terminal box part 29 when the engaging margin of the engaging lance 26 with the engaging hole 38 is large, and making the terminal box part 29 in contact when the engaging margin decreases is provided on the other inside wall 25 opposing to the engaging lance 26.
