PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly perform the initial supply of water into a tank. SOLUTION: In a water cooler, a feed water passage 1 is connected to the upper part of a tank 9 for reserving water and an equalizing plate 17, equipped with a multitude of fine holes for dispersing water ejected out of the water distributing port 12 of the feed water passage, is mounted on at least the upper part in the tank while a water outlet passage 25 is connected to the bottom unit of the tank and an air vent passage 11 is connected to the upper part of the tank to cool the water in the tank by a cooler 30 and deliver the same out of a delivery passage, an opening, whose opening area is larger than that of the fine holes, is formed on the equalizing plate and a tubular body, whose upper end is opened, is connected to the large opening.
