BOOSTER FOR IMPROVING COLD WATER OUTPUT IN ICE AND WATER HEAT STORAGE TYPE COLD WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cold water supply capability of an ice and water heat storage type cold water supply system by assembling a booster manufactured simply at the low cost. SOLUTION: An ice and water heat storage type cold water supply system is adapted to include a water tank 101 for storing therein previously cooled water 102 and a first circulation system for supplying the water 102 to a load 111 and recovering returned water. A booster 100 assembled in the system is adapted such that it manufactures ice pieces with an ice piece manufacturing apparatus 125, and mixes the ice pieces manufactured in the apparatus 125 and returned water from the load 111, and further produces cold water in an ice piece/water mixing/melting apparatus 116 utilizing melting of the ice pieces, and supplies the cold water produced in the apparatus 116 to the load 111 through a pump 118 and a proportional three-way valve 119 with a residual fraction of the cold water returned to the water tank 101 through the proportional three-way valve 119.
