PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel having an improved luminous efficiency, and a reduced power consumption by reducing various kinds of driving pulse reactive powers, in a DC memory plasma display panel. SOLUTION: This DC memory plasma display panel is so composed that three discharge electrodes are installed in one display cell, and that a writing discharge corresponding to an image signal is generated between a scanning discharge electrode(SCEL) and a display discharge electrode(DIEL), and that a sustained discharge for sustaining the discharge is generated between the scanning discharge electrode(SCEL) and a sustained discharge electrode (SUEL).
