PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color picture tube which hardly lets a leak, a spark or the like occurs and which has its electron gun and stem part excellent in withstand voltage characteristics. SOLUTION: This color picture tube has an envelope which has a neck part 300 being composed of a panel, a funnel, and cylindrical glass; an electron gun 1 which is fixedly supported by insulating supports 4, 5 in the neck part 300; and a stem part which has a circular glass part 500 being attached by melting to an end of the neck part 300 and whose stem pins 400, bringing electrical continuity between each of the electrodes of the electron gun 1 and the outside of the tube, are embedded in the circular glass part 500. The stem pins 400 of the stem part and stem lugs 111, 112 being provided at the electron gun 1 are connected together by crimping.
