摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize a broad band signal with a higher quality enabled by a particular gap in a middle band of 3400 to 4600 Hz caused by a broad band excitation source of 300 to 3400 Hz and 4600 to 7700 Hz with a sampling frequency of 8 kHz for a narrow band signal, a sampling frequency of 16 kHz for a broad band signal, and a narrow band excitation source limited to 300 to 3400 Hz. SOLUTION: A noise addition part 62 generates a noise signal with a frequency band ranging from 3400 to 4600 Hz in this speech synthesizing device. The gain of the noise signal is adjusted, and the signal is added to an excitation source excW after zero padding at a zero padding part 61. A resultant broad band excitation source excW' becomes close to flat. The gain adjusting depends on a power obtained from the narrow band excitation source or the excitation source after zero padding.
