PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable extraction of pitch cycle from an input voice signal in a short processing time by extracting the pitch cycle of voice waveform, and performing no following extraction when the cycle is not more than a specified value. SOLUTION: A pitch cycle of voice waveform is extracted, and when the cycle is not more than a specified value (threshold), no additional extraction of pitch cycle is performed. A pitch cycle extraction means 1 extracts the pitch cycle representing the height of voice of input digital voice signal. For example, in a reproducer, a pitch cycle determination means 2 compares the pitch cycle obtained by the means 1 with the predetermined threshold so as to perform determination. When the former is smaller than or equal to the latter, the means does not perform an additional extraction of pitch cycle. |
