An image forming device which feeds toner (2) supplied from a toner carrier (1) to an image receiver (7) via a toner passage hole (4) by applying image-signal-dependent image signal voltages to control electrodes (10), wherein each image signal voltage consists of a plurality of pulse voltages corresponding to an image signal gradation, and an image signal voltage applying time is varied by changing the number of pulse voltages according to an image signal so corrected as to change an image signal gradation and by changing the pulse width of a pulse voltage. An image signal processor (16) provides different voltage potentials or voltage applying times to different control electrodes (10) in downstream-side rows in accordance with image signals corresponding to control electrodes (10) which are in upstream-side rows and adjacent to control electrodes (10) in downstream-side rows in a direction parallel to rows.
