摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a measuring instrument enable to indicate a measurement result understandable at a glance inspite of being small by using a semiconductor gas sensor that is sensitive to a foul odor constituent being generated from a human body and graphically displaying the standby time for the preparation of the measurement of the sensor and a measurement result. SOLUTION: A suction port 3 and a blow-through port 4 are provided in the front and rear outside a case body 2, respectively, and penetrate the inside of the body 2. Also, a switch 5 and a display part 6 are provided. A power supply, a buzzer, a CPU, and the like are incorporated into the case body 2, and a semiconductor gas sensor (sensor) is arranged between the suction port 3 and the blow-through port 4. When the switch 4 is pressed, the power supply is turned on and the display 6 indicates that measurement can be made. When breathing is blown from the suction port 3, the mixed gas of methylmercaptan and ethylene in the breathing adheres to the sensor and is burnt, the electrical resistance of the sensor decreases, and the current value of the CPU changes. The change in the current value is compared with a set numeric value by the CPU, the concentration of the mixed gas is calculated, and display according to a calculation result is made on the display 6.
