PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a simple means for detecting whether a fixing cleaning part is fresh one or not, by incorporating a temperature fuse into the fixing cleaning part and detecting whether the temperature fuse has been blown or not, thereby judging whether an oil roller is unused or not. SOLUTION: When a user replaces a fixing cleaning part 18 with a fresh one, the periphery of the fixing cleaning part 18 has such a low temperature that one can touch it. At least it is not such a high temperature exceeding 100 deg.C. At the time, a temperature fuse 16 attached to the unused fixing cleaning part 18 is not blown and has a sufficiently small resistance value in comparison with that of a resistor. Subsequently, when the temperature of a heat roller 11 is made high in order to carry out an image fixing operation, the temperature fuse 16 is also heated to a high temperature, is blown at the end and becomes released. Therefore, the simply monitoring of a voltage makes it possible to judge whether the attached fixing cleaning part 18 is unused one or not, that is, an oil roller 15 is impregnated with sufficient oil or not. |
