DATA BROADCAST RECEIVER AND TUNER CONTROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a viewer to instruct a data broadcast receiver to start the accumulation of data broadcast at high speed by a simple method even when the viewer does not know in advance the channel number upon which the data broadcast is multiplexed. SOLUTION: Upon receiving an instruction to start the accumulation of data broadcast from a viewer, a data broadcast retrieving section 12 instructs a frequency setting section 11 to set a predetermined frequency and a tuber section 2 to output the data broadcast existing in the section 2 to a data broadcast accumulating section 3. The frequency setting section 11 instructs the set frequency to the tuber section 2. A data broadcast extracting section 13 confirms whether or not data broadcast is multiplexed upon the channel received by means of the tuner section 2 and informs the retrieving section 12 of the confirmed result. The tuner section 2 receives broadcast radio waves and outputs the data broadcast multiplexed upon the received channel to the accumulating section 3 following the instruction from the retrieving section 12. The accumulating section 3 accumulates the data broadcast.
