PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform communication between television sets by allowing a viewer to prepare and transmit a short message to another viewer via remote control operation. SOLUTION: This equipment is provided with a remote control receiving part 4, which receives remote control operation information transmitted from a remote controller, a message managing part which is provided with a function that acquires a telephone number from a telephone number storing part 7 and a short message from a message storing part 5 on the basis of the remote control operation information from the part 4, prepares message information to be transmitted to the third person and transmits the message information to a message transmitting part 6, a function acquiring message information from a third person by a message receiving part and a function which controls image displays, a message transmitting part which transmits the message information to a modem, a message displaying part 2 which performs image display and displays via short message on the television screen, the message storing part 5 storing the short message and the modem 8 establishing connection with a public line. |
