PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit emergency information to the police and the fire department even in the case that an emergency has occurred in a vehicle or the like on the outside of a mobile telephone service area. SOLUTION: If an emergency has occurred on the outside of the mobile telephone service area, the emergency report device transmits emergency information, which includes its own position information obtained by a GPS 2, with a specific frequency by a transmission means 4. When a vehicle on which the same device is mounted passes nearby, emergency information is received by a reception means 5 to recognize that the vehicle where the emergency has occurred exists nearby. When the receiving vehicle is within the mobile telephone service area or is moved into the area from the outside of the area, it reports emergency information to the police and the fire department through an emergency service center. Thus, the vehicle where an accident has occurred is quickly relieved. |
