PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a supply air fan for a combustion to fundamentally prevent the occurrence of incomplete combustion and contami nation caused by incomplete combustion in a combustor frequently or constantly occurs and to ensure and excellent combustion state. SOLUTION: The combustion state of a combustor is detected by CO concentration of exhaust gas generated by combustion. When CO concentration is increased to a value higher than a specified reference value, the number of revolutions of the supply air fan is increased to a value higher than the set number of revolutions according to a specified condition. In a method for controlling the supply air fan for the combustion described above, after the total number of revolutions to which the number of revolutions of the supply air fan is increased reaches a specified value, combustion operation is executed in a state that the number of revolutions of the supply air fan is increased to a value higher than the set number of revolutions constantly from the starting of combustion.
