PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system capable of easily controlling equipment to be controlled comfortably for a user on the basis of personal setting information managed for the unit of the user of a portable telephone terminal. SOLUTION: In the remote control system for remotely controlling the equipment to be controlled while using the portable telephone terminal, the portable telephone terminal is provided with a key input means 11 for instructing and inputting the control contents of the equipment to be controlled, an identification information adding means 14 for adding identification information peculiar for the portable telephone terminal to the said instructed and inputted information showing the control contents of the equipment to be controlled and a transmission means 19 for converting the said information showing the control contents of the equipment to be controlled and the said identification information to a prescribed transmission code and transmitting it to the said equipment to be controlled.
