PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a facsimile terminal were the image information of received documents is recorded and discharged in different recording and discharge forms depending on each opposite party area so as to facilitate classification and arrangement of the received documents. SOLUTION: Upon the receipt of a reception request, the facsimile terminal starts facsimile reception and checks whether area information coincident with CSI information is registered in an area information RAM when receiving a CSI signal from an opposite party. When the area information coincident with the CSI signal information is registered, the facsimile terminal records and discharges the received image information in a recording discharge form registered corresponding to the area information such as a recording discharge form to specify the type of recording paper. The facsimile terminal conducts usual reception recording processing when no CSI signal is received or there is no area information coincident with the CSI information (steps S101-S106).
