INHIBITION OF CARBONIC OR SULFOHYDRIC CORROSION OF IRON AND FERROUS METALS BY OXYETHYLENATED N, N'-(IMINO( POLYETHYLENEIMINO) DIETHYLENE) BIS-ALKYLAMIDES

The corrosion of iron and ferric metals is inhibited in an effective manner in carbonic and/or sulfhydric, aqueous or biphasic media by using inhibitors that are based on N,N'-[imino( poyethyleneimino) diethylene]bis- alkylamides which are oxethylenated with nitrogen, having general formula (1) (see description for the meaning of substituents R1,R2,X and n). The inhibitors remain effective up to temperatures of 150 DEG C.
