<p>The invention relates to an implantable joint socket, especially for hip joint endoprostheses. Said joint socket has a cup (10) for anchoring in the bone, and an insert (20.1, 20.2) that is held in said cup (10), for accommodating the joint head. An adapter (28) is provided so that inserts (20.1, 20.2) consisting of various materials can be fixed in the cup (10) as required by means of a self-locking cone connection. Said adapter can be placed in the inner cone surface (14) of the cup (10) in order to reduce the size of the cone angle for the self-locking cone connection.</p> |
