<p>In connection with operating a cellular radio network it is desirable to offer a customer various services, such as a lower call tariff, which can only be used in a limited local area. The present invention provides a method and a system for initially allocating such a geographical limited area, a so-called home zone, to a customer, said zone comprising a so-called anchoring cell (A) and a number of neighbouring cells (B, C, D, E, F, G) based on a number of calls from the customer via a terminal (10) to an automated switching centre and subsequently defining the home zone based on an additional number of standard subsequent calls made by the customer. The administration of the home zone of the customer is carried out dynamically and automatically by an intelligent network (2) which inter alia considers the transmission condition, the location of the customer and any changes in the cellular radio network as such.</p> |
