<p>Light is made to enter an inhomogeneous medium and the transmitted or reflected light is measured. The measured intensity of light is expressed by the linear sum of exponential functions of the depth of penetration to base e or the function formed by the exponent and a function derived from the function formed by the exponent. The function includes a physical quantity of the inhomogeneous medium as a coefficient. Amount-of-light measurement data about the wavelengths and thicknesses is acquired. By substituting the intensity and other known information in the function and a relation derived from the function, the physical quantity of the inhomogeneous medium can be determined. Thus, a method for optically analyzing an inhomogeneous medium accurately is provided.</p> |
