The transport method has the tubular containers (4) fed radially to holders (2) provided by a transport device, e.g. a turntable (1), each container held in a cavity of the holder via a variable vacuum, with a counter-holder (6) cooperating with the holder for clamping the container in at least one of the work stations (I-VIII) through which the containers are fed via the transport device. An Independent claim for a tubular container transport device is also included.
