The clamping device has a clamping lever (1) turning about a rotation axis (D). The arm is connected to a belt (2) to apply tension to it. A clamping element (3) grips the clamping lever and springs it against the belt. The rotation axis is a virtual one outside the clamping lever in the form of the center point axis of a curved slideway (7) along which the lever can move.
